Borgo Maragliano is a tiny, little more-than-200-hundred-years-old, winery situated within the hills of Loazzolo, a minuscule village of about 40 dwellers.
It sits 450 metres above sea level, in the heart of Loazzolo on a natural terrace in the Langhe hills. In Spring time a gentle wind called the Marin blows in from the sea and crosses Loazzolo. This ‘magical’ breeze, known as the Marin, is most welcome as it favours the maturation and the perfume of the grapes.
Their wines are the result of careful and meticulous labour from vines of Moscato, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes. They represent the highest expression of this distinctive territory and of its soil.
Mainly specialising in sparkling wines, they paid tribute to the sparkling tradition planting in Loazzolo traditional method grape varieties, as well as one of their trademark is the Moscato d’Asti La Caliera, from the very first cru the family owned.
