Weingut Rueff-Röchling Mosel

Some exquisite and exciting wines are being produced at Rueff-Rochling and winemaker Hans-Theo Schenk has ensured its position as one of the Mosel’s top younger estates. This is no mean feat, as the dramatically located vineyards of the Mosel valley have been home to some of Germany’s most historically celebrated wines for hundreds of years.
All of the 3.8 hectares of vineyards at Rueff-Rochling are planted on characteristically steep Mosel slopes, with gradients of up to 75°. The estate produces 40.000 bottles per year.
After a visit and tasting at the winery in the spring of 2004, Pivotal president, Tom Cygnar, reported: "I can tell you that these wines rate among the top Mosel wines that I have tasted. They warrant a long hard look by anyone interested in Mosel wine."
