Le Vigne di Zamò
Le Vigne di Zamò is a family run estate in the heart of the Colli Orientali wine zone of Friuli.
Begun by Tullio Zamò, son of local restaurateur, Luigi Zamò, in 1978 the estate’s vineyards now extend to 40 hectares and can be found in three locations; Rocca Bernarda, Ronchi di Buttrio and Rosazzo. The terroir at each location offers ideal conditions for the various local grape varieties Zamò specializes in.
Le Vigne di Zamò produces several excellent and noteworthy wines such as the Pignolo, the Ronco delle Acacie a blend of Friulano, Chardonnay and Pinot Bianco, and world class Friulano Vigne Cinquant’ Anni of which only 5,000 bottles are produced annually. They also produce an excellent sweet Picolit, with flavours of honey and apricot.
